Sultanpur: A meeting of the Trade Bandhu Committee was held in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer (CDO) Ankur Kaushik.
During the meeting, traders informed the officials about the delay in the allotment of shops in the Transport Nagar, the process of allotment, and the need for repair of the shops. Taking note of the issues, the CDO directed the Sadar Tehsildar and the Public Works Department to inspect the construction of the shops and submit a report.
Sundarlal, representing the Vyapari Kalyan evam Seva Samiti, Sultanpur, raised concerns regarding encroachment in the Super Market area, repair of shops, and safety measures. The CDO proposed that these matters be included in the proceedings of the Disha Committee meeting.
Issues related to illegal operation of e-rickshaws in urban areas, unauthorized stands, and the need for proper route determination were also highlighted. The CDO instructed the Traffic Police and the Municipal Council to coordinate and take necessary action, and asked them to be present in the next meeting.
On this occasion, officials from the District Industries Department, District Information Office, Electricity Department, Municipal Council, managers of major banks, prominent businessmen, entrepreneurs, and other departmental officers were present.
