Sultanpur Gets New Chief Development Officer, Vinay Kumar Singh Assumes Charge

Sultanpur: Sultanpur district has got a new Chief Development Officer (CDO) with Vinay Kumar Singh formally assuming charge on Friday. Soon after taking over, the newly appointed CDO reviewed the ongoing development schemes in the district and directed officials to work in close coordination to ensure effective implementation of government programmes.

Vinay Kumar Singh is a 2010-batch PCS officer and has gained extensive administrative experience by serving on several important posts during his career. Prior to his posting in Sultanpur, he served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Moradabad district and later as Additional District Magistrate (Administration/E) in Bijnor district, where his work received wide appreciation.

Following his recent promotion to the IAS cadre, this is his first posting as a district-level Chief Development Officer. His appointment as CDO of Sultanpur is being seen as an important milestone in his administrative career, with significant responsibility for overseeing and accelerating development-related activities in the district.

A native of Deoria district, Vinay Kumar Singh completed his early education in Deoria itself. He is known for his simple personality, disciplined work culture and strong focus on development-oriented governance.

After assuming charge, Singh said that his top priority would be to ensure that the welfare schemes of the government reach the last person in society. He emphasised effective implementation of programmes related to rural development, employment generation, MGNREGA, sanitation, education and healthcare.

With the arrival of the new Chief Development Officer, expectations are high that development works in Sultanpur district will gain fresh momentum in the coming days.
