Lucknow: The Khadi Mahotsav-2025, organized under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board at the Central Sanskrit University, Gomti Nagar, concluded successfully on Sunday, marking the 10th and final day of the event.
The closing ceremony was graced by Anil Sagar, Principal Secretary, Khadi and Village Industries Department, as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Board CEO Shishir, Joint CEO Siddharth Yadav, and other senior officials and staff of the department.
Government Committed to Promoting Traditional Industries
Welcoming the chief guest with a bouquet and memento, CEO Shishir highlighted the significance of the festival. In his address, Principal Secretary Anil Sagar said the Yogi government is committed to promoting khadi, village industries, and traditional handicrafts.
This year’s Mahotsav saw participation from 160 enterprises, including:

These participants showcased exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. Sagar emphasized the government’s goal of integrating khadi and local products with modern trends to establish them in national and global markets.

With Sunday being a holiday and the concluding day of the festival, the venue saw a massive turnout. Visitors enthusiastically purchased khadi garments, village industry products, and pottery items, boosting the morale of participating entrepreneurs.

He said the collective effort and efficient management ensured the grand success of Khadi Mahotsav-2025.
