Ayodhya: A grand Kisan Fair will be organized in the premises of Shravan Kshetra Dham from December 4 to 7 with the aim of providing farmers access to modern agricultural technologies and connecting them with the latest government schemes. The event, to be held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Anupam Shukla, is expected to serve as an extensive platform for agricultural advancement and farmer education.
According to the District Magistrate, the four-day fair, organized under the Agricultural Information System Strengthening and Farmer Awareness Programme, will familiarize farmers with modern farming practices, new technologies, and various beneficial departmental schemes. The fair will be formally inaugurated on December 4.
Various departments—including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Cooperation, Fisheries, Irrigation, Dairy, Sugarcane, Crop Insurance, NRLM, and FPOs—will set up stalls to provide technical guidance to farmers. Leading fertilizer companies such as IFFCO and KRIBHCO, along with seed and pesticide institutions and agri-entrepreneurs, will also showcase high-quality agricultural inputs.
To address farmers’ concerns, arrangements have been made for on-the-spot registration and resolution of oral and written grievances. Representatives from the Lead Bank and NABARD will provide detailed information and assistance regarding the Kisan Credit Card scheme.
The District Magistrate further informed that special sessions will be conducted on crop residue management and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to help farmers tackle current agricultural challenges more effectively. Urging all farmers of the district to participate in large numbers, he emphasized that the fair will offer, under one roof, modern technologies, scientific guidance, and access to government schemes—ensuring enhanced farm income and sustained improvement in agricultural productivity.
