Varanasi: In a major relief for Loktantra Senanis in Varanasi district, the district administration has taken an important step to provide cashless medical treatment under the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan / Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Special camps will be organised at the Collectorate premises on December 26 and 29 for the issuance of Golden Cards (Health Cards).
Special Camp as per Government Directions
Additional District Magistrate (Civil Supplies) Amit Kumar Bharti said that the camps are being organised in accordance with government directions to ensure that all registered Loktantra Senanis in the district receive the benefits of the scheme. Currently, 102 Loktantra Senanis are registered in Varanasi, all of whom are entitled to cashless healthcare facilities under the scheme.
Camp to Begin at 10 AM
The ADM informed that teams from the health department will be present at the Collectorate from 10:00 am onwards on both days. All Loktantra Senanis have been requested to attend the camp on the scheduled dates and complete the necessary formalities to obtain their Golden Card. This will enable them to avail themselves of medical treatment without any financial burden in the future.
Health Department Directed to Ensure Smooth Arrangements
The district administration has instructed the health department to make all necessary arrangements and deploy adequate staff at the camp to ensure a smooth and hassle-free card issuance process. The objective is to ensure that every eligible Loktantra Senani receives the benefits of the scheme in a timely manner.
Step Towards Welfare and Dignity
This initiative is being seen as a significant step towards ensuring the welfare, dignity and health security of Loktantra Senanis, recognising their contribution and providing them with assured access to quality healthcare.
